Human Review
A human editor reviews every article for factual accuracy, sourcing, clarity and fairness before it goes live. Nothing is published automatically.
Source Verification
Claims about the Japanese market are verified against primary sources — government statistics (METI, Ministry of Internal Affairs), official industry reports (such as Dentsu’s advertising expenditure surveys), and the official documentation of the platforms and services we cover. We link to sources so readers can check our work. Reading Japanese-language primary sources is core to what we do.
Affiliate Independence
Some articles contain affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Affiliate relationships never determine what we cover, how we rate services, or what we recommend. We recommend tools we would use ourselves for the stated purpose, and we note limitations as well as strengths. Services without affiliate programs are covered on equal terms when they are relevant to readers.
Update Policy
Pricing, regulations and market data change. Articles carry publication and update dates, and time-sensitive facts (prices, legal requirements, market statistics) are labeled with the date they were last verified and re-checked periodically. When Japanese regulations change materially — as with the October 2025 Business Manager visa reform — we update affected articles rather than leaving stale guidance online.
